Welcome to Imagine Southeast Public Charter School! We are excited about the opportunity to serve you and your family. As the founding Principal of Imagine Southeast, I am looking forward to ensuring that your child’s educational experience is one of great rigor and enjoyment. I have lived in the Washington Metro area for 20 years, and I have been in education for 13 years as both a teacher and administrator. Working as a pioneer in the charter school industry has been a source of great passion and purpose for me, and I look forward to translating that passion into a school of high expectations, high achievement, and high performance.

At Imagine Southeast, our mission is to guarantee that our students love learning, have outstanding character, take responsibility for themselves and others, and display powerful student leadership. We will offer the first “Dual Academy” Single-Sex program in the city, which will allow us to tailor instruction to the learning styles of boys and girls. We are currently building a team of highly qualified professionals that will know and care for your children as individuals. Our content-rich curriculum, building on the Core Knowledge scope and sequence, will challenge students academically, socially, and morally.

Parental involvement will be a key factor in the success of our school. We need parents/guardians like you to get involved and help support our mission and goals. We not only want to build a close and lasting relationship with your children; we also want you, the parents, to have a strong presence in our school. Please plan to join us once a month for Family Academic Night (FAN). Each FAN will be dedicated to sharing important information with you in the areas of math, literacy, and science. Family Academic Night will also provide an opportunity for students to showcase their work.

Together with your support, Imagine Southeast will be a fun place where children will learn and grow. It will be a safe haven where children will be expected to reach their fullest potential. Consider this place your child’s home away from home. We promise to love them, respect them, keep them safe, and help prepare them for a successful academic career that is second to none.
